Gabe sat in front of a computer that he had insisted on having in his home as he looked through his message inbox on his old email account.  He had sent a couple of very detailed resumes to a couple of schools in New York and while a couple of them had sent back letters to tell him he had not received the job he had still been waiting to hear back from one.  As he looked through the email's he noticed one from the school in question and quickly glanced around to make sure his husband was not around.  Once noting that Apollo was no where to be seen he opened to email and then sat staring at the acceptance letter it contained.  He was still sitting there when he heard Apollo arrived home.  He tried unsuccessfully to close the email but when Apollo walked into the room before he could he gave up and instead tried not to look to guilty as he attempted to keep his husbands attention away from it.

Apollo smiled at Gabe walking over and giving him a kiss, glancing at the computer screen but not really paying attention to what it said on the screen, he grew slightly concerned when Gabe flashed his I'm guilty but don't notice face. "What's up?" He asked glancing at the screen again actually taking it in this time. "You applied for job?" He asked angrily with a scowl, taking a step back and crossing his arms. "I told you I didn't want you to apply for a job away from camp, you promised me that you wouldn't do something like that."

Gabe kissed Apollo back and sighed when he noticed his husbands look change to concern and realized he really should work on his poker face. He stepped slightly to the side to Apollo could see the screen and tried not to wince to much when Apollo moved away from him. He met Apollo's eyes and reminded himself that he knew this would happen when he followed through with the sending the resumes in. He reached out to place a hand on his husbands arm, "I know you did and I know that I promised that I wouldn't, but upon thinking about it again I decided I couldn't just leave those kids to know nothing. You know there are still demi-gods still out there who have no idea what they are because there are still gods who plainly just don't care. I know you are worried about me Apollo, but we haven't got enough satyr's to protect them all and you know that I can fit into that role enough to help. Besides I believe I proved in the last war that I can look after myself and we know our enemies will still rise again. We will never try kill them all", he stopped himself knowing he was rambling but he wanted Apollo to understand his decision. "I know I went behind your back and I am sorry. If you really don't want me to take the job I wont", he continued, searching his husbands eyes for the answer he wanted.

Apollo didn't knowhow to respond on one hand he wanted to straight out tell him no, but he knew if he did that Gabe would probably never forgive him for making him give up his dreams on the other hand if he said yes he would constantly be worrying about him but he wouldn't be seen as an overprotective stifling lover. He sighed, before taking a deep breath. "You can take the job just one condition please." He tells him he knew that it was the right choice but it was hard. "Wear this and if you need me just think of me really hard and I'll know and come for you okay?"

Apollo watched his husbands as he waited for his answer, taking note of the pain and worry in his eyes. Gabe smiled slightly when Apollo said he could take the job but frowned at first when Apollo continued that he had a condition. Gabe smiled slightly when Apollo explained further and nodded. "Of course Apollo. I promise I wont hesitate to use if I need you", he replied honestly. Gabe knew he would because he knew if it came down to needing Apollo it would likely not be only his life on the line but possibly the demi-god child of one of the gods. He moved to kiss Apollo and wrapped his arms around him, "Thank you Apollo. I need something that will make me feel useful in this life", he continued before a small smirk crossed his face. "Should I be watching out for any teenage children of yours, my love", he teased quietly.

"No dear, there shouldn't be any demi-god children of mine." He tells him with a smile. "Though you never know there might be." He teases back, with a wink feeling better now thathe had agreed to his terms he didn't know what he would have done if he didn't agree. He kissed him with a sigh hugging him close restkng his head with his eyes closed on his shoulder. "Where are the kids?" He asked still hugging him, not wanting to let him out of his arms he had missed him all day and was enjoying his time eith his husband but he also was missing the kids.

Gabe smiled, "You know I wouldn't really care if there was. So long as they aren't under 10. Then I might be hurt", he replied. "I would welcome any child of yours into our family", he continued. Gabe kissed him back, running his hands softly through Apollo's hair. "They are playing outside", he replied before hearing the back door open and laughter in the halls. "Or well they where", he replied with a smile. Gabe sighed inwardly, he had hoped for sometime with his husband but was well used to only the small amount of time they got together. "I should go start something for dinner", the email would have to wait for a response until later.

"No you write the reply to the job offer I can start dinner." He tells him with a smile giving him a soft kiss on the cheek, thinking about later tonight when they could just chill out the two of them, maybe watch a movie or something. "Pizza sound alright for dinner?" He asked, not really expecting him to object because everyone loved pizza how could they not, Pizza was amazing and really tasty, he gave Gabe another kiss before heading out of the room to the kitchen so that he could start cooking them dinner humming to himself as he did so.

Gabe nodded, "Thank you and pizza sounds great Apollo", he replied, kissing him back and watching him leave the room before taking a seat back at the computer. Gabe was glad things had gone more smoothly then he had thought they would. he really did hate keeping things from his husband but this was something he felt he had to do and he saw no reason to upset Apollo when he wasn't even sure he would actually get a job anyway. With a smile he settled down to write his acceptance and thank you letter to the school that actually wanted him as a teacher. It took him a moment to realize it was the same high school he had gone to when he was 10. Once the email was sent, Gabe shut down the computer and left the room to go help Apollo with dinner.
